Parham House 28/8/10 Will Kemp 12th
A new course with 3 miles on road and 1 mile off road around the grounds of Parham House, near Storrington. With an elite field there were a number of early attacks and I followed a break that looked ideal, no-one wanted to work however and the break came quickly back. As the break came back, the winning break went taking all the stronger riders in the field with them. I missed the break after a combination of being boxed in and recovering from my earlier efforts. The break was initially 15 riders strong but I continued to chase and I spent 2 laps stuck just behind the break and ahead of the bunch. After being pulled back to the bunch, we rode round hard and a number of riders fell off the front group. I came 2nd in the remnants of the bunch in a sprint and came in 12th. A frustrating day after missing the break but legs showing good signs after some serious mileage and intervals during the week and was ready for a week off before Fowlmead next weekend.
